This weekend Nieuw-West is hosting our own international Rugby Sevens tournament. Taking place in sportpark ’the Eendracht’, Korverweg 6, and attracting top teams from around the world (nice!), it is a super weekend if you want to enjoy the unique atmosphere in which top international athletes excel.
Rugby Sevens is a form of rugby in which two teams of seven players enter the fight on an entire rugby field. A match lasts two times seven minutes and often an entire tournament is is played in one day. Special is that in 2016 for the first time Rugby Sevens is added to the Olympic Games. Explosiveness, speed, agility, endurance, strength and hitpoints are therefore key features of players. What more do you need for a nice weekend?!
